On 19 September, Design & Data successfully supported the livestreaming of the Jason-3 briefing for EUMETSAT. A video of the event is now available to watch on YouTube.
The Jason-3 ocean-monitoring satellite was launched on 17 January this year and is being readied to take over from its predecessor Jason-2 to take high-precision measurements of the global sea surface level from space.
The live briefing event included all the representatives for the Jason-3 programme partners – EUMETSAT, the US’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the European Union. It took place at EUMETSAT’s headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany with two US scientists joining via video link.
The general public were invited submit questions live to the experts using #askjason3
